Isaiah 37:25-27

²⁵ I dug wells and drank waters,
And ^(A)with the sole of my feet I dried up
All the canals of ^[a]Egypt.’
^26 (B)Have you not heard?
Long ago I did it,
From ancient times I ^(C)planned it.
Now ^(D)I have brought it about
That ^(E)you would turn fortified cities into ^(F)ruined heaps.
²⁷ Therefore their inhabitants were ^[b]powerless,
They were shattered and put to shame;
They were like the ^(G)vegetation of the field and the green grass,
Like ^(H)grass on the housetops ^[c]that is scorched before it has grown.
